Evan Grant demonstrates the science and art of cymatics, a process for making soundwaves visible. Useful for analyzing complex sounds (like dolphin calls), it also makes complex and beautiful designs.
These books were found at the School of the Art Institute’s library, or else are in the private collection of Travis Wyche. They are currently being used for research on the subject of a unified notational methodology and are provided here as catalysts of interest and points of entry for others wishing to participate in this project.
